Can you tell me about the records that are available to me?- The K-12 Free Homeschool will keep dedicated records of your child's progress throughout the year. Home school parents can access this information at any time. All grades, assignments, and time in class are available to home schooling parents throughout the year in our state-of-the-art online learning system.
- In addition to an online home schooling environment and world-class home school curriculum materials, what other features does The K-12 Free Homeschool offer?
- The K-12 Free Homeschool offers a comprehensive network of support, record-keeping, and more. When you enroll in our home school program, you are not alone. Our support, resources, and friendly encouragement will be with you all year long.
- What kind of Newsletter does the K-12 Free Homeschool have?
Every week or two, parents and students will receive our newsletter, which contains news and views from our principal, homeschooling news in general, and other information of interest to the homeschooling community. Sometimes, the newsletter will contain offers for products or services and these are included to help us reach our fund-raising goals. You are never required to purchase anything, even from these newsletter offers when they are available.- I know the courses are Parent-led, but do you have a Teacher-led option?
- Yes. Our Teacher-led option for courses is available for any course that the parent doesn't feel qualified to lead. For instance, higher level sciences, maths, and languages are often good examples of this. Additionally, parents who have scheduling concerns take advantage of our Teacher-led option so their student(s) have daily accountability and friendly help when needed.
- The main differences between our regular Parent-led system and Teacher-led option is that instead of parents leading the class and doing the grading using our answer keys, our academic staff directly engages your student(s). The Teacher-led option allows students to contact our teachers via 1 on 1 instant messaging and e-mail for all of the help they need.
- For those who stay with the Parent-led set-up, if you need help in your homeschool program or don't know the answer to a question your homeschooler has asked you, or whatever you need, the Parent/Teacher Message Board is the place to go. You will find help from both our staff members and from other parents. We are not just homeschoolers, but we are a Homeschooling Community that offers help and support to one another. The message board is open to parents and staff only.
- What is The K12FreeSaversClub?
Every parent at K-12 Free Homeschool will receive messages via e-mail or regular mail containing special offers of interest to homeschoolers for products and/or services. Our corporate sponsors are interested in hearing your opinions on these products or services. You will hear about substantial discounts at national businesses as well as some things that are not even available to the general public yet. In exchange for the free and/or discounted courses and curriculum that you receive here, we ask that you read and comment on these offers. IMPORTANT NOTE: Although you are welcome to purchase anything you feel may be of value to you, we only ask that you read and comment on the offers. You are NEVER required to purchase anything.- Thank you for giving us the free courses! What can I do to support the school?
- There are three basic ways to help support The K-12 Free Homeschool. First, ask the Lord to direct and guide us as we strive to build and improve our courses and services. The second way is to be sure to tell your homeschooling friends and neighbors about us. Contact co-ops or online message boards and help spread the good news.. The third major way is to consider taking advantage of our elective courses and/or optional upgrades when available and make a support donation every month.
